Expert talk: Mental Health for all
World mental health day is observed on 10th October every year, to raise awareness about mental health issues around the world and mobilise efforts in support of mental health.
To support this social issue, the Department of Mathematics, SRMIST, Ramapuram has organized an Expert Talk on “Mental Health for All” as part of World Mental Health Day on 09.10.2021.

Dr. V. Smitha Ruckmani started the session by discussing the impact of covid on mental health. She explained about the objectives and significance of mental health. She emphasized that mental health and well-being are closely related to age.
Dr.Ruckmani elaborated complete mental health, resilience towards mental health and social support across the lifespan of human beings starting from childhood to old age. She concluded the session by giving various strategies to handle mental health.
Dean E& T in his falicitation address, appreciated the department for taking up the issue of mental health which played havoc in the lives of people especially during COVID. He expressed his desire to extend this program to benefit the students as well as faculty members.
