Discover the well-equipped Hostel Facilities at SRM Ramapuram

There are three hostels for ‘Boys’ and three for ‘Girls’ available in the campus. The hostels for ‘Boys’ and ‘Girls’ are exclusive and well segregated geographically, keeping in view of our tradition, culture and heritage values. The hostels have necessary infrastructure and facilities with separate modern kitchens, dining halls and services. The hostels have provisions for hot water round the clock, through heat pumps and solar water heaters. There are separate study halls in addition to well established central libraries of the respective institutions in the campus. Department stores are available separately for ‘Boys’ and ‘Girls’, in the campus to serve/ meet the day-to-day needs of hosteller. Support facilities such as Food Courts, Canteens, Bank / ATM, Internet, Super market, Sports, Entertainment / Recreation, Gym and Yoga halls are available.

Accommodation

The hostels at SRM Ramapuram campus cater to both boys and girls, with separate facilities for each. The rooms are available in various configurations to suit different needs and preferences, including single occupancy, double occupancy, and shared rooms. Each room is furnished with essential amenities such as:

  3. Wardrobes
  4. Ceiling fans
  5. Adequate lighting and ventilation

Dining Facilities

The campus boasts well-maintained dining halls that offer nutritious and hygienic meals. The menu is diverse, featuring a variety of cuisines to cater to the tastes of students from different cultural backgrounds. The dining facilities operate on a fixed schedule, providing breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. Special attention is given to maintaining cleanliness and quality in food preparation and service.

Recreational Facilities

SGN Hostel – 2 Floors with 2 sharing A/C and 4 sharing A/C Rooms with 68 beds are available

Boys Hostel 2 – 9 Floors which  contains 288  rooms of 2 and 3  Sharing  A/C  Rooms – 180 beds and 2 and 3 sharing  Non – A/C – 630  beds are  available

OM Vinayaka Hostel – 4 Floors which contains  140  rooms  of  3  sharing  A/C  room – 420  beds

Hostels For Women

Siva Sakthi – 6 Floors which contains 138 Rooms with 2 sharing A/C and 2 sharing Non-A/C Rooms with 276 beds are available

Chellammal – 6 Floors which contains 98 rooms of 2, 3 & 4 Sharing A/C and and 2,3 & 4 sharing Non-A/C- 290 beds are Available

Bharathiyar – 4 Floors which contains 32 rooms of 2 & 3 sharing A/C and 2 & 3 Sharing Non-A/C rooms -80 Beds are available

Life in Ramapuram Campus

It’s the first time for most students coming to live in hostel, and our accommodation facilities at the Ramapuram Campus are designed with this in mind. Fostering a student-friendly atmosphere, our hostels provide the right ambience for learning, growing and making new friends. There are separate hostels for men and women, with all the necessary facilities.

Living on Campus

The Ramapuram Campus has three exclusive hostels for women and two for men that are well segregated geographically to ensure privacy. The floors/rooms in each hostel are allotted institution-wise to ensure easy administration. All hostels are well equipped with facilities such as

  • Modern kitchens, dining halls and other services
  • Hot water round the clock, through solar heaters
  • Exclusive study halls in each hostel
  • Separate department stores and Internet centre for men & women students
  • Support facilities such as Food Courts, Canteens, DTP, Bank/ ATM, Internet, Telecom center, Super market, Sports, Entertainment/ Recreation, Halls for Gym and Yoga

There is a well-equipped SRM Specialty Hospital (150 Beds) within the Campus, that functions round-the-clock, providing free treatment for the Students, Staff and the Public.

Hostel Fees And Online Booking Schedule For The Academic Year 2025-26

How And When To Apply?

  1. Application for admission to the hostel for the first year and renewal for subsequent years should be made online through https://sp.srmist.edu.in only.
  2. Online hostel booking schedules for first year students will be communicated directly and for senior students, it will be announced through the student’s portal well in advance.
  3. First year students who have completed all the admission formalities and have the net ID and Password only will be eligible for hostel admission after the hostel booking portal opens.  
  4. No student will be allowed to stay in the hostel without formal admission.
  5. The hostel administration may refuse admission/renewal to any student without assigning reasons.
  6. Every student should submit an undertaking before occupying the hostel that he/she will abide by the rules and regulations of the hostels and the discipline policy in force.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible Categories:

  • Full time bonafide undergraduate, postgraduate and research students of Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Medicine and Health Sciences, Science & Humanities, Management and Law
  • Full-time bonafide diploma students of Polytechnic and Hotel Management

Non – Eligible Categories:

  • Students who have failed and are not re-admitted as regular students

  • Students enrolled in a part-time, evening course, correspondence or any external course of study

  • Students penalized for indiscipline activities

  • Working men / women and ex-students
