ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Department of Mathematics established in the year 2004, has a large vibrant intellectual community. The 47 faculty members in the department are actively involved in research, teaching, learning and public outreach. The faculty members of the department are actively participating in research and development activities. The Department has a cohesive group of faculty members in the fields of Analysis, Differential Equations, Fluid Dynamics, Fuzzy set theory, Graph theory, Reliability theory, Rough set theory and is actively engaged in wide-ranging areas of research in Mathematics and allied subjects. 25 research scholars are pursuing their Ph.D. under the guidance of our faculty members. The Department strives to provide excellent teaching, encourage interdisciplinary research and service to students. The students are groomed academically, under careful personal monitoring by the faculty members.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
The International conference on “Progress in Mathematics towards Industrial Applications” to be organized by the Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science & Technology, Ramapuram campus, is aiming to promote interaction between academy and industry, leading to innovation in both fields and providing unique opportunity to discuss the latest ideas, problems and methodologies and contributing to the advancement of science and technology. It also encourages industrial sectors to propose challenging problems where mathematicians can provide insights and fresh perspectives. The purpose of this conference is to bring together leading academic scientists, experts from industry and young researchers and provide a platform in which significant advances in Mathematics are presented & widespread discussions are held to promote the use of innovative Mathematics in industry. This conference will provide a unique opportunity to exchange ideas, problems and methodologies, bridging the gap between mathematics and industry and contributing to the advancement of science and technology to benefit the society. The conference will have keynote addresses by renowned experts and research paper presentations.

PUBLICATION
All submitted papers will be reviewed by the technical committee of the conference and selected papers will be published in the proceeding with an ISBN number which will be released on the first day of the conference. Furthermore, selected papers will be considered for publication in reputed Scopus indexed journals with additional processing Fee. (Upon acceptance of the articles, the publication charges are to be paid.)

Registration fee: Rs. 1500/- No TA / DA will be provided. At least one of the authors of the selected paper should register and present the paper in the conference. Registration form is to be sent in the prescribed format along with a D.D in favour of SRMIST payable at Chennai
