TWO DAY BODHI INTERNATIONAL ONLINE CONFERENCE ON LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND LINGUISTICS
27 & 28 AUGUST 2021
The Department of English and Other Foreign Languages, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus in collaboration with BODHI International Journal of Research in Humanities, Arts and Sciences (BIJRHAS) conducted the TWO DAY BODHI INTERNATIONAL ONLINE CONFERENCE ON LANGUAGE, LITERATURE AND LINGUISTICS on 27 and 28 August 2021. The Inauguration was conducted on the morning of 27 August 2021. The Dean E & T, SRMIST Ramapuram delivered the welcome address. The Vice Principal – Academics gave his felicitations, followed by the presidential address by the Chief Director and special address by the Director, SRMIST Ramapuram. The Inaugural address was delivered by an eminent International speaker, Dr. Mahendran Manim, from Malaysia.
On day 1, there was a plenary keynote lecture by noteworthy national speaker, Dr. Prasenjit Panda from Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh and on day 2, Dr. M. Septhia Irnanda, international speaker from Indonesia, delivered a plenary keynote address. There were six paper presentation sessions with eight noteworthy chairpersons. A total of 145 papers were presented in four different languages English, French, German and Japanese. The presentations were interactive with innovative content and brought out key findings in contemporary research in the fields of language, literature and linguistics.
The Valedictory function was held on 28 August 2021. Dr. V. Rema, the Convener of the conference welcomed the gathering and Dr. S. Savitha, conference organizing secretary gave an overview of the program and conference report. The valedictory address was delivered by renouned Professor, Dr. T. Marx, from Pondicherry University, followed by the vote of thanks by Dr. K. Kaviarasu, joint organizing secretary of the conference. More than 100 faculty, research scholars and PG students participated enthusiastically and registered positive feedback.
