The Department of English and Foreign Languages, SRMIST, Ramapuram campus organized Litvaganza’23 under the banner of Literary Club on the 9th of March2024 at AV Hall and Gallery Hall 3. This event aimed to celebrate literature, promote the art of reading and writing, and provide a platform for literary enthusiasts to come together and engage in discussions, workshops, and various literary activities. The fest had 6 main events: 3 solo events and 3 group events: Captain’s Call,Word Off, Script it Up, The Voice Battle, Fandom’s Opera, Gameistry were planned and conducted with full vigour and strength. Around 300 plus participants registered, participated and won prizes at various levels.
On the 9th of March, the day started with the Fandom Quiz and the room was buzzing with different fans ranging from pop culture to Hollywood movies. Round 1 of the fandom quiz ended successfully, and it was followed by another interesting event, Open Board Dialogue. Participants were given an opportunity to flaunt their creative writing prowess. The final main event for the day was the Spinning Wheel (JAM). The overall feedback for this event was positive as all the participants were given the stage to showcase their public speaking skills and it was a very engaging session. The final round of the fandom quiz took place in the Gallery Hall 3. It was a super competitive and overall fun round of questions. The participants showed their excitement and willingness to take part in ways we did not expect. The day concluded with the award ceremony. Our Dean E&T, Dean Campus Life, HOD, English and Foreign Languages Department, Dr. Rema Ma’am felicitated the winners of each event which marked the success of a wonderful day.
