As a part of Academic Events of the Year 2021-22 Department of Information Technology organized on “COGNISANCE’22” – Project Design Contest Event on 13.05.22 exclusively for UG Students as a part of core teaching. The event is wrapped with Technical project display in hardware & software stream.

The Department of Information Technology organized “COGNISANCE’22”, the project design contest on 13th May 2022 for first and second year students. The event was organised by 3rd year IT students.The Inaugural function took place in the 4th floor Gallery Hall of Block V. The function was presided over by Dr.M.Murali Krishna, Dean ET. The welcome address was given by Jayasurya of III B.Tech (IT). Dr.G.Prabhakaran, VP(Academics) felicitated the chief guest Mr.Ramesh Sethuraman, Global Program Director, Solution & Strategic Alliance, HCL Technologies with momento, shawl and bouquet. The felicitation was followed by Inaugural address by the chief guest. The Chief Guest emphasized on the role of college education in moulding students career right from first year till final year. He appreciated the first and second year students for their involvement in the project design contest. Dean (E&T) sir delivered the presidential address in which he informed the students about their campus placements from their third year of study and how to prepare themselves to get placed in third year itself.Then the Jury panel members-Mr.Sachin (Alumni of B.Tech(IT)-2019 batch) and Mr.V.Karthikeyan, Founder and CEO at Cappricio Securities were introduced by Shyam Karthick of III B.Tech(IT). It was followed by a Vote of Thanks.
Immediately following the inaugural function the participants, Chief Guest and Jury panel members were taken to the Programming Lab, seventh floor of BMS Block to visit the project exhibit. Evaluation was done by the judges and the winners were announced at the valedictory function presided over by Dean ET
