Language and literature cover a very vast field and have evolved over the years especially with the influence of technology. The aim of the conference is to provide opportunities to researchers and academicians to exchange views and opinions and learn new information and insights into the futuristic trends of language and literature. REST Society for Research International (RSRI), our hosting partner and sponsor, is an independent, private, non-profit, interdisciplinary, professional research society. RSRI is functioned by a group of researchers in various areas of specializations across the world. This society recognizes the research contributions through the various distinguished awards and publications in association with one of its initiative “REST publisher”, which publishes various research journals and books.

The Department of EFL conducted the Inauguration of the RSRI Conference on Contemporaneity of Language and Literature on 4th October, 2018.

The Chief guest, Dr. Swayam Prabha Sathpathy, Professor, ITER, Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University, delivered the inaugural address. The honourable Registrar, SRMIST, offered the presidential address.

The Inauguration of the conference was presided over by the Director, Director General, Dean (E&T), Dean (S&H). Many delegates, including faculty members, researchers and students from across the country graced the occasion with their presence.

Several keynote speakers and experts in the field offered their valuable insights into the recent and future trends of language and literature in the global scenario during the two day conference held on 4th and 5th October, 2019. Dr. Anjanapura V Raghu, President, RSRI, delivered the presidential address.
