Course Introduction

Electronics & Communication Engineering

The Department of Electronics andCommunicationEngineering was started in the year 2004.TheDepartment offers a four-year B. Tech DegreeinElectronics & Communication Engineering (ECE) and PhD Programme. The department is committed to achieve academic excellence and promote R&D activities in the field of IoT and AI, Image processing VLSI, Embedded System, Optical and Mobile Computing, Antenna Design and Bio-Medical applications.

ECE Department prepares students to pursue leadership, technical, and management positions in a variety of industries. Students have obtained placements at leading companies such as Dell, KPIT, Sabre, Philips, Musigma, Infosys, TCS, Wipro and Cognizant Technologies. The program encourages students to work in research groups to undertake an inventive research project, and outstanding students are often rewarded with seed money, patent support, and other benefits. Students are sent to foreign universities like MIT, TEXAS in USA, University of Wisconsin & Michigan Universityunder Student Abroad Program (SAP), where they spend a semester and come back with rich experience. The program continually focuses on creating model students who can succeed in their chosen career path, contribute to their professional sector, and serve as role models for their community. The department is associated with professional bodies like IETE and IE (I) for faculty and students to enhance their research activities.

Most of the faculty members are accomplished with doctorate degree. The faculty members of the department do undertake innovation projects from various funding agencies such as DST, SERB, AICTE, MyGov and students participate in hackathons both national and international levels.

Our curriculum focuses primarily on the knowledge and skills that emerging engineers need to possess. Our students gain a holistic view of the industry, an understanding of how to solve problems, and a focus on design and modelling that prepares them for success in a broad range of industries, including electronics, communication, software, bioengineering, and robotics, among others.
