Srinivasa Ramanujan’s work has had a fundamental role in the development of modern mathematics. The Department of Mathematics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus celebrated Ramanujan Day on 04th January 2019. Guest Lectures by Dr. K.C. Sivakumar, Professor, Department of Mathematics, IIT Madras and Dr. Mathew C. Francis, Assistant Professor, Computer Science Unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Chennai Centre were organized. A video on the life and works of Ramanujan was shown to motivate the Audience. Faculty members and students were much benefited and felt motivated by the programme.
