Dr. Vasna began her speech explaining “Why mapping disease data is important?”. Further mapping requirements, spatial data set, exploratory data analysis were elucidated. Interpolation technique – Kriging technique where the map of semivariogram in two taluks of Tamilnadu was expounded. Spatial autocorrelation, non parametric D- Statistic, Moran’s I statistic, Geary’s C test statistic, Kulldorff’s SATSCAN Spatial and space-time Scan statistics, Posterior marginal summary of regression co-efficient (CAR) models using normal priors were interpreted.
Nearly 100 faculty members and research scholars from various institutions participated in this webinar. The expert talk was fruitful with the enlightening talk of the resource person from which the participants were much benefited.
