WEBINAR ON NOVEL DEVICES BASED ON ATOMICALLY THIN 2D NANOSHEETS
The Department of Physics, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, Chennai has organized a “Webinar on Novel Devices based on Atomically Thin 2D Nanosheets” on 27h January 2022 at 2 pm. The event was conducted online through GOOGLE MEET Platform.
Dr. Dattatray Late, Professor & Head, Centre for Nanoscience and Nanotechnology at Amity University, Mumbai gave an amazing lecture on “Novel Devices based on Atomically Thin 2D Nanosheets. The resource person delivered a scintillating lecture on Graphene / 2D MoS2 heterojunction for self powered, flexible & wearable sensors which is used in various medical applications like preventing the cardiovascular disease and measuring the body temperature, pressure and emotional detections.
He gave an insight on preparation, isolation and rapid unambiguous characterization of large size ultrathin layers of MoS2, GaS, and GaSe deposited onto SiO2/Si substrates with spectroscopic techniques. He has explained about the latest techniques involved in the fabrication of Sensor devices.
We have received around 101 participants in Google Meet Platform. The participants include Faculty members, Research Scholars, UG and PG students from various universities and institutions. The participants raised questions to the speakers and discussed about the topics. A good feedback was received from the participants on the talk by the resource person. The coordinators of the event are Dr. T.Beena, Assistant Professor(SL), and Dr.M.Dhanasekar Assistant Professor(OG), Department of Physics.
