The Department of Physics has organized “Webinar on Innovative Technology & Applications-Smartphone Based Classroom Experiments”on 05-07-2021 (Monday) between 05:00PM to 06:00PM (IST) through ZOOM platform and live streaming in YouTube for School and Diploma Students
Dr. L. Sudha, HoD/Physics and Convener of the Program welcomed the gathering.
Dr. A. Nataraj, Assistant Professor (S.G), Department of Physics introduced Resource Person. Dr. Praveen Pathak, Scientist E, Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR, Mumbai) delivered lecture on the topic “Innovative Technology & Applications-Smartphone based classroom experiments”. He discussed about some innovative science experiments using Mobile phone and elaborately explains the important concepts like how the phone can measure the acceleration in all three directions, the reaction time and other concepts like from class room to the medical science. We received overwhelming registrations, 106 participants from all over India, 11th, 12th, Diploma students and Research scholars attended the Webinar program. The participants raised questions to the speakers and discussed the topics. The participants gave very good feedback. The resource persons thanked the management and organizers for arranging the Webinar program.
