The “Online Quiz Program on Electrical Safety System for School Students” aims to educate and raise awareness among school students about the importance of electrical safety. This initiative aids to interact and engage students in an informative manner, promoting a culture of safety and responsible behavior around electrical systems through quiz and also to provide an exposure on SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram.
Introduction:
Electricity is an integral part of our daily lives, and it is crucial for students to understand the potential hazards associated with it. The online quiz program is designed to cover fundamental concepts of electrical safety, including the identification of electrical hazards, safe practices, and emergency procedures.
Objective:
- To educate school students about the basics of electrical safety.
- To promote a culture of responsible behavior when dealing with electrical appliances.
- To educate them regarding B.Tech. (EEE) program of SRM Institutions.

Program Structure and Activities

Dr.M.Karthikeyan, Assistant Professor, Department of EEE, SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram campus welcomed the participants from different schools to this program. He shared the objective and expected outcome of the program and also shared the rules and regulations of the online quiz. He welcomed Dr. K.N.Srinivas, Prof. and HOD, Dept. of EEE, SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram to deliver the special address to the students.

Dr. K.N.Srinivas, Professor and HOD, Department of EEE, SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram campus welcomed the participants and parents of the students for the quiz program. He shared the importance of Electrical Engineering in India and its global impact. He also instructed safety regulations to follow while working under electricity. He also detailed about the bachelor program in Electrical and Electronics Engineering offered in SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram campus. Finally, he motivated all participants to be a part of SRM institutions. Exam tips were given by HOD/EEE to the participated students, which they received well.
Student experience about B.Tech. (EEE) program in SRMIST, Ramapuram
Mr. Shabarish sharing his experience about B.Tech (EEE) program in SRMIST, Ramapuram.
Mr.E.Shabarish, III year student, Department of EEE, introduced about B.Tech(EEE) program to the audience. He introduced each areas which require electrical engineering and explained the method of teaching in Dept. of EEE, SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram. He explained about the teaching by qualified faculty members, state of the art facilities in the SRM Ramapuram campus. He specified the research activities such as projects, practical experiments taught in the department. Finally, he welcomed the students to join in B.Tech (EEE) in SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram. A video regarding the various aspects of Department of EEE, SRMIST (E&T), Ramapuram was aired.
Online link was shared to the participants in the Google meet chat box and Dr.M.Karthikeyan instructed the rules and regulation of the quiz once again and begun the quiz program.

Ray of knowledge on various aspects of SRMIST, Ramapuram and Department of EEE was also shined to the students.
