Online competition “Fun with Physics” for School and UG students
The Department of Physics organized an online event “Fun with Physics” on 21 May 2021 (Friday) between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM via Google Classroom platform(GCR). The event comprised three activities Word seeker, Crossword and Brain Teasers.
The details of the program are as follows:
Word Seeker
The participants were asked to find 30 Physics words in the given puzzle. The words were supposed to appear straight across, backward straight across, up and down, down and up, and in a diagonal layout. The students took snapshot of the puzzle and uploaded the image in the GCR.
Cross Word
The participants were asked read a clue and the appropriate word was supposed to be typed in the puzzle. The students took snap shot of the puzzle and uploaded the image in the GCR.
Puzzle 3 – Brain Teasers
Brain teasers puzzle was made in a Google form (Participates were asked to click the Google form link and then submitted their response.
We had received an overwhelming 369 registrations, out of which 154 participated. The participants include students of class 11 & 12, Diploma and B.Tech courses from all over India. The participants recorded a very good feedback on the event.
The event was chaired by Dr. L. Sudha, Hod/Physics and coordinated by Dr. Sanju Rani, Assistant Professor (O.G), Dr. M. Dhanasekar, Assistant Professor (O.G), and
Dr. K. Subramanian, Assistant Professor (Sr.G).
