In the wake of the changing economic environment, it is necessary to focus on inculcating and advancing the skill sets of the young population of the country.
Keeping this in mind, to create interest in Mathematics among school children, Department of Mathematics, SRMIST, Ramapuram conducted a Skill Development Program on 29.06.2022, for the students of Velankanni Matriculation and Higher Secondary School, Ashok Nagar, Chennai.
Short cut techniques and tricks were taught to the students to solve Mathematical problems. Mind rejuvenating exercises and activities were also taught to the students.
To sharpen the Mathematical Skills, an Aptitude test was conducted in three rounds. More than 190 students took active participation and two Students won first and second prize at the end of third round.
