The National Chemistry Day 2019 was celebrated in Govt. Higher Secondary School, Alappakkam, Chennai by Department of Chemistry SRM Institute of Science and Technology on 10th December 2019.
A talk on “Food Adulteration” was given by Dr. A. Arun (AP/Chemistry) and Dr. M. Riswan Ahamed (AP/Chemistry). First year B.Sc.,Chemistry Students gave a demo about food adulteration. Around 150 students actively participated in the event and gained more information about identification of adulteration in frequently used food items in our everyday life.
Dr. Helen P. Kavitha, HOD of Chemistry gave a motivational talk and distributed prizes for the winners of IYPT-2019 written quiz competition.
