International conference on modern trends in chemical sciences including green chemistry

The Department of Chemistry, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, Association of Chemistry Teachers (ACT), Mumbai and Rasayan Journal of Chemistry organized an International Conference on “Modern Trends in Chemical Sciences Including Green Chemistry-MTCSGC 2018” during 27^th to 29^th December, 2018 catalyzed and supported by Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, New Delhi and Tamilnadu State Council for Science & Technology, Chennai. Prof. D.V. Prabhu, Convener of MTCSGC-2018 and General Secretary of ACT welcomed the gathering and gave a brief account about the conference Prof. K.N Ganesh, Director; IISER-Tirupati inaugurated the Conference. Prof. N. Sathyamurthy, President, Chemical Research Society of India and Honorary Professor, JNCASR, Bangalore delivered a Keynote lecture on “The Chemical Bond”. Eminent scientists from USA, Taiwan, Oman, Iraq, Australia and our own country gave Key note addresses and plenary lectures. There were 50 oral presentations and 100 poster presentations during the Three Day conference. Around 250 delegates including Professors, Scientists, Industrialists, Faculty Members, Research Scholars and Students from all over the world actively participated in this mega event. Awards and certificates were distributed to the winners of Oral and Poster presentations by Prof Mangala Sundar, HOD/ Chemistry IIT Madras during the Valedictory function. Finally, Dr. Helen P. Kavitha, Convener of MTCSGC and Prof & Head of the Department of Chemistry, SRMIST, Ramapuram gave vote of thanks.
