The National Science Day painting competition at SRM IST, Ramapuram is a unique platform in the dynamic world of creativity, where students use brushes as instruments and chart as mediums to express their ideas of a “Viksit Bharat”??—a developed and progressive India. The competition have been started with warm welcome address by Overall Campus Life Coordinator and Convenor Dr.M. Saravanan, Associate Professor & HOD(i/c) Department of Physics. Dean (Campus Life) felicitated the gathering.
Dean (Campus Life) exposed how this event represent a symbolic union of expression and art that transcended convention to capture the essence of a nation?? on the cusp of change during felicitation.
Respected Dean(E&T) has delivered the presidential address.
During his address, Dean(E&T) emphasized how the ideal developed India will be embodied in the theme “Viksit Bharat,” which represents advances in social, cultural, and environmental spheres in addition to economic prosperity.
Students from assorted branches of Engineering & Technology have participated and enthusiastically drawn their painting in the Viksit Bharat theme.
As participants took up their brushes and squeezed out vivid hues onto their chart on February 21, 2024, they set off on a visual adventure to depict the varied qualities.
Some students chose to depict the industrialization of rural areas into places where technology and traditional values live in harmony through their artistic interpretations.
A powerful message about the crucial role rural development plays in the advancement of a Viksit Bharat?? was delivered through the integration of the past and present, as exemplified by images of smart villages and sustainable agriculture.
Furthermore, some students chose to explore the idea that education is the foundation of advancement. A country’s progress toward wealth can be shown in imagery that shows creative schools, empowered young, and the sharing of knowledge. As a catalyst for holistic development, participants were able to highlight the significance of inclusive and high-quality education through their artistic expression.
The participants were encouraged to explore environmental sustainability as an essential part of progress. Through vivid imagery of green cities, renewable energy sources, and eco-friendly practices, some students advocated for a Viksit Bharat that is aware of its environmental footprint, striving for a harmonious coexistence with nature.
The National Science Day painting competition at SRM IST, Ramapuram is not merely an art event; it is a medium through which the student community can engage in a collective dialogue about the future of the nation??. Each stroke of the brush and every choice of color became a voice in this narrative of progress, contributing to a collective vision of a Viksit Bharat.
The paintings that covered the tournament arena with vivid artworks transformed into symbolic objects that inspired and aspirationed people. They stand as a tribute to the youth’s inventiveness and their dedication to conceiving and forming a Viksit Bharat, an advanced and developed nation that would one day stand tall in India.

Prizes and Certificates were distributed to the winners by Dean(E&T) who have done best painting in the theme “Indigenous Technology for Viksit Bharat”.
