Description
With the support and initiation of Dr. N. Kannan, HOD, Department of CSE, the inaugural session was held by introducing bits and bytes of prominent Institute SRMIST, where diversity and unity is the root cause of giving a wonderful platform for the learners.
After addressing the faculty and welcoming the participants and showcasing various laurels of the institution, the participants were enlightened with the protocols, and the discussion of the modules and introducing the speakers were done.

Dhanashekaran (Pursuing Masters in Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.)
Addressed the faculty and the participants
Then the session continued with the *Introduction of Linux * followed by various applications and sources of evolution and comparison between Linux and Windows and the Introduction about Red Hat.

Installation and Setup of Virtual Box and Red hat were elaborated.

*Basic Linux Commands and Sample Python Code * are executed explaining the step by step process.
-Rohan Soni
Later File System in Linux is explored and provided with some time for the participants to post their queries/doubts and then they were resolved.
-Harshitha and Srijith
Then the session continued in explanation of User Accounts in Red Hat and the operations for adding and removing users and the role of Root were discussed.
-Sampat Kumar
Moving on *Networking and configuration of the IP * is elegantly executed it can be considered as the heart of the session.
-Rohan Soni and Prashant Singh
Before ending the session there was a small quiz session conducted and the participants were allowed to answer it from the chat box available.
The event had a great ending with Interactive Doubt Clarification session. Participants were given their valuable feedback in the google form provided.
