Synopsis:
With the support and initiation of Dr. Kannan.N , HOD, Department of CSE, the inaugural session was held by introducing bits and bytes of prominent Institute SRMIST, where diversity and unity is the root cause of giving a wonderful platform for the learners. The event began with the note of welcome by Ms.Chandra Sreeja of 1st yr CSE. She welcomed all the Students from various Schools and narrated them in brief about the event Agenda. Topic: Introduction and hands-on Photoshop. The session was handled by Mr.Srikanth of 3rd year CSE. The session was completely about Introduction to Photoshop and hands-on experience. He explained basic concepts, , features of some basic icons ,normal sketching, detailed explanation about opacity control and its importance in Photoshop, and operation of various other tools and their importance .In the hands-on session he demonstrated giving a fill into a frame, photoshopping a horse head to pigeon ,etc.
The session ended with a technical quiz based on the topic covered in the day’s session, participants interaction with speaker and then giving their valuable feedback on the session conducted. The second day event was divided into 2 sessions. Session 1 was on Creating a Social media design using Canva and the session was handled by Mr.Swarnim of 3nd year CSE. In session 1 the speaker guided participants to create a Canva account and explained the basic Canva workspace and Dashboard and how to use them effectively. Then the speaker demonstrated making of a poster for a clothing company having spring sales. The session2 was a brief Introduction to Ethical Hacking and the session was handled by Mr.Bharath.M of 1st year CSE. He demonstrated installation on Kali Linus sandbox/virtual machine in the PC. Then session was continued with introduction to ethical hacking and its various inference in the real world applications. The session is followed by hand-on session on ethical hacking. Here the speaker demonstrated phishing of Facebook network and WiFi password hacking. The session ended with a technical quiz based on the topic covered in the day’s session, fun quiz, participants’ interaction with speakers and then giving their valuable feedback on the session conducted.
