The Department of chemistry, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram campus, Chennai started the Chemistry Association-(Chem Inspires) on 24-02-2020. The chief guest Dr. J. Daniel Chellappa, Senior Scientist (TCW), Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), & Technical Coordinator, Central Expert Group, Kudankulam Nuclear Power Project (KKNPP), Government of India, Chennai inaugurated the Chemistry Association by lightning the Kuthuvilakku and inducted the office bearers of the association then gave a special talk on the “Importance of Student’s Contribution” in science association activities. Dr. C. Sundar, Dean (S&H) and Dr. Sekar, HOD Biotech gave their felicitations. Dr Helen P. Kavitha, HOD Chemistry welcomed the gathering and outlined the proposed activities of the Association.
