“Fundamentals of Google Cloud Platform”
On the 4th of October, the Developer student club organized another informative session on “Fundamentals of Cloud and GCP”. The webinar took place on the Google Meet platform. Indeed it was a satisfying event.

The event kick started off at 4.05pm once when all the registered participants assembled. The show was hosted by M.Mirthula one of the core team member at DSC SRM RAMAPURAM . She warmly welcomed the audience , added spice to their curiosity , gave out the code of conduct to be followed by the participants and finally introduced the speaker of the session Siddhant Singh , the technical and administrative lead at developer student club who is a cloud enthusiast and love scaling through cloud platform.
With a great honour ,the speaker of the session Siddhant Singh onboarded the deck to start of the plenary. He elaborated what cloud computing is ,the essentials and use cases of Google cloud platform stating some real time examples along with mentioning about the hackathons related to it. He also demonstrated how to carry out the labs provided by Google qwiklabs . The participants had a short tour with hands on session on qwiklabs to facilitate them to proceed with the 30 days Google cloud challenge that starts of by this month. Students also had an interactive slido session which consisted of 15 tricky questions to test what they have aced up during the entire session.
A google form was rolled out by the host for the participants to post their questions and doubts related to 30 days Google cloud challenge , about cloud computing and GCP .Further those queries were comprehended by our speaker along with our DSC lead Aravind Balaji.
Finally our host Mirthula notified the audience on how to reach the team through the social handles where they can either gmail the team or connect with them through LinkedIn. A feedback form was rolled out to the participants to get their valuable comments .
Finally the plenary was handed over to Zoya to give the ending and thank you note biding farewell to our humble participants.
Overall it was an interesting sessions. The participants got plethora of information about the Cloud computing & Google cloud platform, and they also felt comfortable enough to pose their questions. The enthusiastic response of the audience was a godsend. We were glad to note that we both started punctually and were able to wrap up comfortably. Our club members’ unyielding efforts were pivotal in bringing this event to fruition. Truly, it encourages us to conduct many more such events.
