This webinar provides an understanding about the role of Information Technology and its applications for various sectors in the current scenario for school students. The evolution of Information Technology and the need for automation in this digital world will be reinforced to the participants. The participants will learn about the inter-disciplinary applications of Information Technology to better understand the demand for computing system in the digital era. A short briefing will be given on moral and ethical values of an engineer. As an outcome of this webinar, participants will have an understanding of why they should choose engineering and the importance of engineers in today’s digital environment. They would also be able to comprehend engineers’ morals and ethical norms.

• Introduction about SRMIST college and CSE department(5 mins)
• Presentation: What is IT?, Need and applications of IT and services, Significance of Digital revolution.(20 mins)
• Presentation: Moral, ethical values and Roles and responsibilities of an engineer.
