The department of EEE at SRM IST Ramapuram Campus, for the benefit of school students, polytechnics students and budding engineers organized an online webinar on introductory topics of Industry 4.0 in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. This is majorly conducted to introduce interests in one of the major emerging areas of EEE called the Industry 4.0.
Title of the events is: International Talk on IoT in Industry 4.0 in Electrical Engineering.

This is one of the series of international talk international arranged by the EEE department. It attracted students as well as the general public.

The speaker explained the following topics in detail with best examples.
He gave a detailed introduction about the architecture of IOT and the various communication protocols used in IOT. The various applications of IOT like medical, health care of students, environment etc were discussed in detail. The usage of IOT in SCADA, smart grid, smart metering, and connected public lighting were well explained. Different case studies like Lorawan, Image transmission were also discussed.

Outcomes: | The exposure of IOT interfacing with various sensors brings closer the vision of an Internet of Things.
The evolution of the next generation mobile system will depend on the creativity of the users in designing new applications. IOT is an ideal emerging technology to influence this domain by providing new evolving data and the required computational resources for creating revolutionary apps.
