Participants: II & III ECE/EKE Students The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRMIST, Ramapuram organized a 2-day Industrial Visit to Bharath Sanchar Nigam Limited Training Centre,Meenabakkam,Chennai for the II & III ECE/EKE Students from 10-10-2022 to 11-10- 2022. Industrial Visit started with a message from Dean E & T, Dr.M. Murali Krishna, and was flagged off by Dr. Phanikumar Polasi, Professor and Head of the ECE Department. The sessions at BSNL started with a demo and explanation of the concepts of optical fibre. This was followed by an explanation of the concepts and a demo of communication inside a power plant. The students were given a demonstration of the components used in the communication system. Each day ended with a short session on concepts of how calls are sent and received.Special thanks to the faculty, Mr. Premkumar, Dr.K.Thaiyalnayaki, Dr.P.Ramani and Dr.Nagarajan for coordinating and accompanying the students to BSNL. 135 students from III and II ECE /EKE participated in the Industrial visit and benefitted from the same.
