GREEN TECHNOLOGY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The Department of Biotechnology conducted a one-day webinar on 01.05.2020 titled ‘Green Technology for Sustainable Development’ for UG/PG students, research scholars and teaching fraternity. The Resource person, Dr. Raj Mohan B, Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, NITK, Surathkal spoke on the introduction of green technology and how today with technological advancement, it is possible to produce environment friendly products. Later, he explained the various applications and gave an insight to the students about the importance of doing business without polluting the environment. The online session was attended by around 54 participants from various institutions. The presentation was followed by a Q & A session. The webinar was convened by Dr. T. Sekar, HOD/Biotechnology and well coordinated by the faculty members Dr. S. Suresh, Assistant Professor and Dr. A. Rajasekar, Assistant Professor
