Let the rhythm of dandiya take control of your soul. As part of Navaratri Celebrations, Festival Club of Campus Life, College of Engineering and Technology, SRM IST, Ramapuram organised Traditional Garba Event “Abhivyakti ” on 19.10.2023. The Traditional Garba event was inaugurated and presided over by Respected Dean (CET). Assorted branches of Engineering and Technology students have participated the traditional Garba and Dandiya Raas event.
Respected Dean (CET) emphasized how this event brings awareness among the students about the traditional customs while performing the Garba and Dandiya during his Presidential address. Garba was performed by campus life student members before Aarti (worshipping ritual) as devotional performances in the honour of the Goddess Durga, while Dandiya was performed after it as a part of merriment. The intact event was incredibly successful and beneficial because of the happiness and energy radiating from the vibrant costumes and the excitement of dancing to the Garba folk tunes. The occasion turned into a superb illustration of how tradition can be celebrated with the utmost zeal and joy while maintaining student discipline. This was a day of bonding, where the gathering, the celebration and the dance etched a unique combination signifying the diversity of Indian culture.
