ONLINE CREATIVE POSTER DESIGN COMPETITION

Department of CSE organized one week online “Creative Poster Design Competition” for school and college students under the theme(s) of
- Green Environment
- Post COVID-19
- Impact of Virtual Media(s)
- Software Industry during pandemic
With continuous support and guidance of our respected Head of the Department, Prof.Dr.N. Kannan, the event was felicitated with welcome address and he presented about the scope and content of the competition. The intent of the competition was to bring out the creative idea from young minds. Totally more than 600 students have registered and 400 posters are received from various themes.
Technical sessions have been organized on each day to train the participants in software design applications like Photoshop, Canva, PicsArt, Powerpoint, Microsoft publisher and Piktochart. An exclusive session on Creative Designer Tips & Tricks was also held to enhance the skills of participants
All the posters were nominated and results was announced by eminent panel of judges from various fields like Film industry, UX Designer expert from software industries.
Grand Finale of the competition was held on 16th July, 2020 at 10am to 12 pm. The judges enlisted and announced outcomes according to the themes. All participants have given very good response for the entire sessions.
Eminent Judges for the event:
- GREEN ENVIRONMENT– Badri Venkatesh, Film Director (Baana Kathadi)-(Film writing, Television fiction writing, Reality show direction, Event direction and film making, Cinematic teaching, Creative management, Novel writing and short fiction film making)
- POST COVID’ 19 – Mr.Thirumurugan, Network Engineer, Nokia(Poet, Writer, Founder & Developer of isai24x7.com)
- IMPACT OF VIRTUAL MEDIA(S) – Mr.Lakshmanan Palani, B.Arch, Designer (South Zone NIASA 2017,Top 10 design scholar, Zonal NASA convention Winner 2014,UI/UX Design Consultant)
- SOFTWARE INDUSTRY DURING PANDEMIC – Mr.Vigneshwaran Sivasankaran, Senior Software Engineer, Tech Mahindra (Best Develop in REST API, Product Development, Agile Methodology).
Ultimately the event was concluded by Ms.Hiranmayee, with a vote of thanks to the Judges for their valuable selection of different posters. She also expressed humble thanks and appreciation to our Management, Director, Dean, HOD and participants. In addition to this appreciation, the contribution from Mr.Gowtham Sethupathi , AP/CSE for his wonderful session and student coordinators Mr.Bharath, Ms.Deepanchali, Mr.Saideep and Mr.Srihari Krishnan for their team work, were appreciated by the Event Coordinators.
