The Department of Physics has organized a Webinar on “Technologies for the Exploration of the Inner Space” on 11-07-2020 (Saturday) between 10:00AM to 11:30AM through ZOOM platform. The Webinar has delivered by Dr. G. A. Ramadass, Scientist and Head of the Deep Sea Technology Group, National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT), Chennai, Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. Dr. K. Subramanian, Assistant Professor (Sr.G) has introduced the resource person.
Dr. G. A. Ramadass has delivered a lecture on the topic “Technologies for the Exploration of the Inner Space”. He explained about Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) in the ocean at the depth of 6000 meter. He discussed about Integrated Mining System in the border of Indian Ocean and Antarctica. Also, he has elaborated under water acoustics to find objects in the depth of the ocean.
We received overwhelming registrations, 200 participants including Faculty, Research scholars and UG/PG students from all over India attended the Webinar. In the interactive session, the participants raised questions to the speaker and discussed about the topics. The participants gave very good feedback to the resource person.
The resource persons thanked the management and organizers for arranging the virtual symposium.
