The Department of Physics has organized a webinar on “far field boundary conditions and their approximation” on 17/sep/20 (Thursday) between 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM, through the Google meet platform. The lecture in this webinar was given by Prof. A.S. Vasudeva Murthy, Center for Applicable Mathematics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Bangalore, Karnataka.
Dr. L. Sudha, Professor and Head, Department of Physics chaired the session and delivered welcome address. Dr. M. Saravanan, Assistant Professor (Sr.G) introduced the resource person Prof. A.S. Vasudeva Murthy.
Prof. Vasudeva Murthy has delivered a lecture on the topic “Far field boundary conditions and their approximation”. He explained about the importance of mathematics in physics, biology, atmospheric sciences etc. He specifically focused a problem on atmospheric science and explained the impact on boundary conditions, the existence of solutions, and its validity.
We received good response from the audience and also they gave very good feedback. The resource person thanked the organizers for arranging the live webinar. At the end of the webinar Dr. M. Saravanan, Assistant Professor (OG) delivered the vote of thanks. He thanked the resource person, Management, Director (Ramapuram Campus), Dean (E&T), VP (Admin), VP (Academic), HoDs, Faculty members, participants and other officials for their active support for making the programme to be successful.
