In the age of digitalization where numerous learning resources are available for students, teaching is not a priority whereas learning is the priority. With the ongoing pandemic, academia has seen major changes in terms of teaching pedagogy and learning analytics. The challenges faced by teachers are many and there are psychological issues faced by the students.
Considering the relevance of the challenges faced and the need for delivering effective lessons, The Department of Mathematics, SRMIST, Ramapuram has organised an expert talk exclusively for school Principals and teachers on Digital Pedagogy and learning analytics on 8th May 2021.

More than 150 participants from all over India participated in the programme.
The participants enthusiastically shared the challenges they face while teaching school students in the online platform. The expert, after the interaction with the participants, discussed what is and what is not digitalPedagogy, how digital Pedagogy can influence the instructor’s interaction with students through machines which in turn changes the approach to teaching-learning methods.
He demonstrated tools like TEDed and Mentimeter which help teachers not only in delivering effective lessons but also in tracking whether their lessons have reached their students.
The talk aimed at bridging digitalization and pedagogy, leading to innovation and satisfaction for both teachers and learners from all walks of academia.
The program was well appreciated by the participants for its uniqueness and relevance, with a special request to organise many such relevant talks and workshops.
