BASICS OF CANCER CELL CULTURE TECHNIQUES
The Department of Biotechnology conducted a one day webinar on 27.10.2020 titled ‘Basics Of Cancer Cell Culture Techniques’ for the beneficiary of UG/PG students, Research Scholars and Faculty members. The Resource person, Dr. M.D. Balakumaran, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, D.G. Vaishnav College, Chennai has gave a lecture on cancer cell culture techniques. He started his talk by explaining the cell culture techniques and its importance. He also explained the various applications of cell culture, methods of culture and types of cancer cells. Around 85 participants attended the online session from various institutions. The presentation was followed by a Q & A session. The webinar was convened by Dr. T. Sekar, HOD/Biotechnology and well-coordinated by the faculty members Dr. S. Suresh, Assistant Professor and Dr. A. Rajasekar, Assistant Professor. E-certificates were mailed to all the participants.
