ABOUT THE EVENT:
TECH QUIZ 2026 is a dynamic and intellectually stimulating technical competition organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, and hosted by DCDC and HAM Club. The event is designed to bring together enthusiastic and tech-savvy students to showcase their knowledge, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities in a competitive yet engaging environment.
The quiz consists of multiple exciting rounds, beginning with a Preliminary MCQ Elimination Round to test participants’ fundamental technical knowledge. The selected teams then advance to the Rapid Fire Round, which challenges their quick thinking and accuracy under time pressure. The competition culminates in the thrilling Final Buzzer Round, where teams compete head-to-head, testing their presence of mind and confidence.
TECH QUIZ 2026 aims to encourage healthy competition, enhance technical awareness, and promote teamwork among students, providing a valuable platform for participants to strengthen their conceptual understanding while experiencing the excitement of a fast-paced quiz atmosphere.
OUTCOME OF THE PROGRAM:
The structured format of TECH QUIZ significantly enhanced participants’ critical thinking and quick decision-making abilities. As the rounds were time-bound, students were required to think rapidly and respond accurately, which improved their presence of mind and problem-solving skills. The buzzer round, in particular, created an atmosphere of excitement and demanded strategic thinking before answering. TECH QUIZ also played an important role in strengthening the technical knowledge of the participants. Through various rounds such as the Preliminary MCQ, Rapid Fire, and Buzzer Finale, students were encouraged to recall concepts from different engineering subjects and apply them in a competitive setting. The event highlighted the importance of staying updated with current technological trends and developments and motivated students to explore topics beyond their academic syllabus.
Additionally, the event promoted teamwork and coordination, as participants competed in teams. Members had to discuss, analyze, and agree on answers within a limited time, which strengthened their communication and collaboration skills. This experience helped them understand the value of strategy, cooperation, and mutual support in achieving a common goal.
Overall, TECH QUIZ fostered a healthy competitive spirit while boosting students’ confidence and stage presence.
