TAMIL NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS 2023
The campus life, Faculty of Engineering and technology, SRMIST Ramapuram Campus celebrated the Tamil New Year on 13.04.2023. Right after the decorations are done routine rituals are followed for prayer song and lighting the Kuthuvizhaku and the auspicious pooja. The programme was inaugurated with lighting the kuthuvilakku by Dean(E&T), VP(Academic), HODs and Students. Tamarind rice and Sundal offered as prasadam to all the HODs, Faculties and students. Respected Dean E&T presided over the Tamil New Year Celebrations. He appreciated campus life students and coordinator for conducting programs like this consistently on all the special occasions.
The most Anticipated part in the celebration was Campus life student’s performance. They performed devotional songs, Tamil New Year Speech, Bharatanatyam, Violin and Veena which gave a traditional impact among the audience and lightened the program. Overall, the entire session turned out to be an enjoyable and wonderful moment for audience. On behalf of the Campus life team, we extend our heartful gratitude to our management for their incessant support.
