The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, SRMIST, Ramapuram has organized a Seven days FDP on “Synergizing VLSI Design with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Techniques” in Virtual mode from 27.05.2024 to 03.06.2024 for faculty & research Scholars.
The inauguration of the FDP on 27.05.2024 started with an invocation followed by a welcome address by Dr.R.Vani, Professor, ECE, and the Inaugural Address was delivered by Dean (E & T ) Dr.M.Murali Krishna followed by Dr. PR. Bhuvaneswari, Assistant professor of School of Electrical and Electronics engineering, VIT UNIVERSITY (BHOPAL campus), MADHYA PRADESH delivered her lecture on the topic of “Low-Power and High- Performance VLSI Design for AI Applications.
The topic “AI-Enhanced Verification and Testing of VLSI Circuits” was delivered by Dr. G. Sasikala, Professor of Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai, on the second day of the FDP on 28.05.24.
On 29.05.2024, Dr. R. Gayathri, Associate Professor of Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Chennai, discussed “Design and Optimization of AI Hardware Accelerators using VLSI” with numerous examples.
Mr. Prashanth Nagarajan from Epical Layouts Private Limited (ELPL), Chennai, gave his presentation on “FPGA-Based Prototyping and Implementation of Machine Learning Models” on 30.05.2024.
On 03.06.2024, the session on “Security and Privacy in VLSI Designs for AI Systems / Emerging Memory Technologies in VLSI for AI and ML Applications” was handled by Dr. V. Jeyalakshmi, Professor in the Department of ECE at CEG, Anna University, Chennai.
The valedictory function on 03-06-2024 started with the summary of the 7 day events, the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr.Roopa, Associate Professor, Department of ECE, SRMIST, Ramapuram.
Totally 200 participants joined in this FDP and they gave excellent feedback on the overall coordination of the 7-day FDP. The participant certificates are distributed to all the participants.
