The campus Life, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRMIST Ramapuram organized Stringz 2024 (Institution Cultural Extravaganza) on 13.04.2024. Right after the decorations are done routine rituals are followed for invocation song. The programme was inaugurated with lighting the kuthuvilakku by Guests Shri.Vishwanathan,Business Head, Behindwoods,Chennai, Shri.Sureshrajan,Political Editor,Zee Media Corporation Ltd. Chennai,Shri.Kumaran,Head – Digital Sales,Vikatan.com,Associate Director, Dean(E&T), Dean(Campus Life), VP(Admin), Institution Campus life Coordinator, Department coordinators and Students coordinators.
Dean (Campus Life) welcomed the gathering. ? She emphasized that how this type of cultural fest will encourage and motivate younger minds to overcome fear and hesitation. In-addition she insisted that perseverance with determination will help them to succeed in life and become achievers.
Respected Dean(E&T) felicitated the gathering. During the felicitation, Dean(E&T) accentuate how Cultural activities provide opportunities to the students to express themselves, build confidence, increase capabilities to work in team and develop social skills that are essential for their overall development. He also thanked the sponsors SRM Axis Intellects Pvt. Ltd and Mahindra Automative Manufacturers Pvt. Ltd., who have provided financial support to Stringz’24.
Respected Associate Director presided over the inaugural function and delivered the presidential address. During the presidential address, Associate Director stated that “This STRINGZ’24’ gives the students a platform to improvise their skills and interest towards cultural activities and how it will give good experiences to shape their creativity and talents to the students.
One of the guest Shri.Vishwanathan, Business Head, Behindwoods, Chennai stressed the importance of participation in cultural activities and how it enhances students’ sense of engagement and attachment to their institution and improves their performance in academics. He also included that how the cultural activities help the students to explore their potential and excel themselves in various fields.
Shri.Sureshrajan, Political Editor, Zee Media Corporation Ltd.Chennai, stated how the Cultural committee plays significance role to organise and promote all intra and inter collegiate cultural events in the college to bring out the hidden talents of the students in performing arts and how they Plan and make a Schedule of cultural events during the academic year and to encourage students to participate.
All guests and sponsors of Stringz’24 were honoured with bouquets and mementos by Associate Director, Dean(E&T), Dean (Campus Life) and VP(Admin).
The most Anticipated part in the cultural fest was Campus life student’s and participants performance. Stringz’24 events started with traditional welcome dance “Bharatanatyam”. They performed devotional songs. Dance it out(Solo), Band performance and vocals, Dance it out(Duo & Group) and Traditional fashion walks. Overall, the entire session turned out to be an enjoyable and wonderful moment for audience. Finally, Vote of Thanks proposed by Institution Coordinator and Student President of Campus Life.
