Summary of the Event
We are delighted to inform you that the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a two-day skill development workshop and hands-on training in physical and layout design VLSI using Cadence Tools by Entuple Technologies Private Limited, Bangalore, for faculty members and second-year ECE students on 22.2.2024 AND 23.2.2024 at Block III, Computer Lab 1. The program commenced with an invocation, followed by a welcome address delivered by Dr. R. Vani, a professor in the ECE Department.Mr. V. Navaneethakrishnan, Senior Field Application Engineer at Entuple Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, India, delivered the keynote address.
A total of 50 students and faculty members attended the technology session, which included hands-on experience with the state-of-the-art Cadence EDA tools for VLSI Design. Participants gained exposure to Circuit Design & Simulation, Layout, Physical Verification (DRC, LVS), and Extraction. The workshop also included practice sessions on Cadence design and simulation tools (Virtuoso, Spectre, Assura, and Incisive).The valedictory function of the event was conducted at 3:30 pm, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. P. Ramani, Assistant Professor of the ECE Department.

Mr.Kousick Varma is a alumni of 2015-2019 batch ECE Department , SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram. He is Currently working as Software developer, Tech Mahendra, Bangalore, and his area of interest includes Cyber Security and Networking.
