The Department of English and other Foreign Languages, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram has successfully taken a giant leap ahead by signing an MOU with ‘Lavender Literary Club, Kanyakumari’. The solemn event began with Tamizh Thai Vazhthu. Dr. V.Rema, Head, Department of EFL delivered the welcome address. The event was graced by the presence of Dean E&T, Director, SRM IST, Vice Principal Admin, the heads of departments and faculty. The esteemed Dean, Engineering and Technology, SRM IST delivered his felicitation address by highlighting the crucial need for such collaborations and appreciated the efforts of both the departments. Respected Director, SRM IST, in his felicitation address focussed on the need to be very relevant and all-inclusive with regard to the objectives and activities of the MOU. Dr. Frank Joison Sathya, president of the Lavender Literary Club deliberated on the prospects of working together with the institution. Dr. Padmanaban Ramasamy, Founder and Executive Director of Eishaa Communication Systems Pvt. Ltd. highlighted the importance of using human and technological resource to its best possible extent. The delegates of the organization signed the respective documents which was taken further by the Heads of the institution.
