Research Opportunities in Advanced Functional Materials
Date: 30.09.2024 to 05.10.2024 Time: 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm The first day (30.09.2024) of the FDP program started with Thamizhthai Vazhthu.
Dr. M. Sakthi Ganesh, Dean (E&T) during his special address insisted on the importance of functional materials and its applications.
Earliar Dr. Helen P. Kavitha, Professor and Head/Chemistry welcomed the participants and briefed about the various activities of the department.
Day I FDP program Dr. M. V. Shankar, Professor, Material Science & Nanotechnology Lab, Department of Chemistry, Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa has given a talk on Photocatalytic Hydrogen Production.
Day 2 FDP program Dr. V. Gunasekaran, Assistant Professor, Department of Material Science, Central University, Tiruvarur has given a talk on Nanomaterials for Electronics Applications
Day 3 FDP program Dr. Sureshkumar Garlapati, Assistant Professor, Department of Material Science and MetallurgicalEngineering, IIT, Hyderabad has given a talk on Printed electronics and sensors.
Day 4 FDP program Dr. M. Sathish, PrincipalScientist, ElectroChemical Power Sources Division, CSIR-CECRi, Karaikudi has given a talk on Fabrication of Symmetric High Energy Supercapacitors using Advanced Functional Carbon and Carbon based Materials.
Day 5 FDP program Dr. C. N. Tharamani, Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, IIT- Ropar, Punjab has given a talk on Energy Storage Devices.
Day 6 FDP program Dr. Shanmugaraju Sankarasekaran, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, IIT-Palakkad, Ker has given a talk on Supramolecular Materials.
Around 115 participants from various institutions enthusiastically participated in the event.
