Report on Guest lecture – “Orientation on Cement”
On 17th December 2021, Department of Civil Engineering conducted Guest lecture titled “Orientation on Cement” in Collaboration with UltraTech-Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Construction Materials, at AV Hall, SRM institute of science and technology, Ramapuram campus. Dean E&T Dr.M.Muralikrishna, Mr.Senthilvelan, Head of Civil department(i/c), Dr.T.Ch. Madhavi, Associate Dean – IIE, SRM institute of science and technology welcomed the Resource person Mr. Vinoth Rajendran, Technical Services Manager, Arakkonam cement works, UltraTech Cement Ltd. Mr.Senthilvelan, Head of Civil department (i/c) presented his welcome address to the gathering. The felicitation address was given by Dean E&T Dr.M.Muralikrishna. The special address was given by Dr.T.Ch. Madhavi, Associate Dean – IIE, and presented momento to Resource person Mr. Vinoth Rajendran, Technical Services Manager, Arakkonam cement works, UltraTech Cement Ltd. Resource person Mr. Vinoth Rajendran from UltraTech has delivered lecture on recent developments in Cement. Also this assists the students to upgrade them and enhancing the knowledge on developments in Cement. Students from B.Tech second year Civil engineering and M.Tech Structural engineering interacted with resource person and clarified their doubts. Vote of thanks was given by Dr.A.Karthik, AP/Civil. Visit to Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Construction Materials for the students was also arranged.
