Department of Biomedical Engineering has conducted a VALUE-ADDED COURSE ON “Radiological Equipments and Diagnostic Equipments” for III-year BME students from 06.03.2023 to 10.03.2023 at 8.30 AM – 11:30 AM to 12.30PM – 03.40PM. The event started with a warm welcome note by Dr.Ushus.S.Kumar, HOD(I/c)-BME, SRM IST Ramapuram

Day-01

• Mr. M. Swaminathan, Service Manager, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai took over the session briefing about the Introduction to Magnetic resonance Imaging and its clinical applications.
• Mr. Vamsi Karthick, Manager- Customer Services RSC Support, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai. Has delivered a detailed demonstration on the spare parts of the MR equipments.

Afternoon session Mr.W.Santhosh has demonstrated the different spare parts of MR with the maintenance and troubleshooting.

Day-02

• Mr. M. Swaminathan, Service Manager, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai took over the session briefing about the Introduction to Lab Diagnostics and its clinical applications.
• Mr.W.Santhosh, Service Engineer- Lab Diagnostics, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai. Has delivered a detailed demonstration on the spare parts of the Lab diagnostics equipments like Hematology, Immunology.

Afternoon session Mr.W.Santhosh has demonstrated the different spare parts of lab diagnostics with the maintenance and troubleshooting

Day-03

• Mr. M. Swaminathan, Service Manager, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai took over the session briefing about the Introduction to Ultrasonography and its applications.
• Mr. Neyaz ahamed, Senior Service Engineer- Ultrasound probes, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai. Has delivered a detailed demonstration on the spare parts of the Ultrasonography equipments.
• Afternoon session Mr. Neyaz ahamed has demonstrated the different spare parts of ultrasonography with the maintenance and troubleshooting.

Day-04

• Mr. M. Swaminathan, Service Manager, Siemens Healthcare Private Limited, Chennai took over the session briefing about the Introduction to the PEP connect (Online platform for learning diagnostic equipments).
• He has also demonstrated the PEP connect assigned contents to the students.

Day-05
