On March 21, 2025, the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram, organized a remarkable placement drive in collaboration with Omicon Engineering. This initiative was aimed at providing promising career opportunities to final-year students specializing in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
A total of 11 enthusiastic students participated in the placement process, showcasing their skills and potential to the recruiters. The interviews were conducted by Mr. Elumalai and Mr. Raja, esteemed representatives of Omicon Engineering, whose insights and expertise guided the selection process. Adding a touch of pride and motivation to the event, Mr. S. S. Prabhu, an esteemed alumnus of SRMIST (2024 graduate), was present to support and encourage the participants. His presence exemplified the bond and shared commitment of alumni in uplifting their alma mater and its students.
After rigorous assessment and evaluation, Omicon Engineering successfully recruited six talented students out of the 11 who attended. This accomplishment marks a significant milestone in the professional journeys of these students and highlights the department’s dedication to bridging academia and industry through fruitful collaborations.
The event not only underscored the students’ competencies but also reinforced SRMIST Ramapuram’s commitment to nurturing future-ready professionals in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Selection Process
Round 1: Written (Technical)
Round 2: Technical + HR interview
The successful candidates were officially informed of their selection on March 27, 2025. On the same day, Omicon Engineering issued offer letters to the selected students, marking the culmination of the recruitment process. The students were given instructions and preparations to ensure a seamless transition as they commenced their professional journey. They are expected to join the organization on April 1, 2025, stepping into their new roles with enthusiasm and dedication.
