ABOUT THE EVENT:
PitchFlix is an innovative two-round competition that blends biomedical knowledge with
creativity and marketing skills. The event challenges participants to design a digital marketing-
style poster for a biomedical instrument and present it convincingly before judges.
Round 1: Digital Poster Creation – Teams are assigned a biomedical instrument on the spot.
They design a visually appealing and technically accurate digital poster highlighting key
features, applications, and innovative aspects.
Round 2: Poster Pitch – Teams present their poster in a 2–3 minute pitch, explaining the
instrument’s significance, unique selling points, and technical relevance. The event combines
technical expertise with persuasive communication, making it both competitive and
intellectually engaging.
KEY POINTS OF THE SESSION:
PitchFlix witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who demonstrated both technical
understanding and creative excellence. In Round 1: Digital Poster Creation, teams showcased
their ability to simplify complex biomedical concepts into visually compelling marketing
posters. Participants highlighted key features, applications, and innovative aspects of assigned
instruments with impressive clarity and originality.
The competition intensified in Round 2: Poster Pitch, where teams delivered confident and
persuasive presentations within the 2–3 minute time limit. They effectively communicated the
instrument’s significance, technical accuracy, and market relevance. The judges evaluated
teams based on clarity, content quality, presentation skills, and overall impact. The event
successfully combined technical knowledge with communication and design skills, creating a
dynamic and engaging experience for all participants.
OUTCOME OF THE PROGRAM:
The outcome of PitchFlix demonstrated students’ ability to integrate biomedical
knowledge with creativity and persuasive communication. Participants enhanced
their skills in technical analysis, digital design, and public speaking while presenting
complex biomedical instruments in a simplified and market-ready format. The event
encouraged critical thinking, innovation, and effective teamwork under time
constraints. By designing and pitching their posters, students gained confidence in
explaining technical concepts clearly and convincingly. PitchFlix not only
strengthened their understanding of biomedical technologies but also improved their
presentation and marketing skills, making it a valuable and interdisciplinary learning
experience for all participants.
