The Department of Language, Culture and Society, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, organized a one-day Online International Conference on “Knowledge, Innovation and Society: Multidisciplinary Perspectives from Humanities, Arts and Sciences in the 21st Century”, in collaboration with Bodhi International Journal of Research in Arts, Humanities, and Sciences”
The inaugural began with the welcome address by the head of the Department of Language, Culture and Society, followed by the felicitation by the respected vice principal academic Dr. Rama Chaithanya who appreciated the efforts behind the conference.
The key note speaker Dr. Rohan Savarimuthu, Senior Lecturer in English, Department of Languages and Communication Studies, Trincomalee Campus of the Eastern University, Sri Lanka highlighted on the intrusion of AI in education and the serious concerns it poses upfront. The keynote address was followed by plenary sessions which had two speakers. The first Speaker Dr. Moovendhan Muthiah, Head & Assistant Professor, Department of English, Ayya Nadar Janaki Ammal College, Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu deliberated on literature as post human activity whereas the second speaker Dr. Mamta , Professor & Head, B.K. School of Professional & Management Studies, Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India
Two parallel presentation sessions had Dr. Dr.K. KAVIARASU, Assistant Professor of English,Vivekananda College, Agastheeswaram, Tamil Nadu, India Dr. S. PRATHEEBA, Assistant Professor of English, Queens College of Arts and Science for Women, Gandarvakottai, Pudukkottai as session chairs, and around 45+ participants had their presentation. The valedictory session had Dr,Vasanthan, Associate Professor , Department of English (UAP), Nagaland University, Nagaland.
