The nine avatars of goddess Durga are worshipped during grand Navaratri celebrations in India. The Campus Life, College of Engineering and Technology, SRMIST, Ramapuram celebrated the Navaratri Festival on 17.10.2023. The five-tier Golu was elegantly decorated with the traditional dolls. Along with stunning rangoli and diyas, the atrium was also decked out with streamers and roof hangings. Right after the decorations are done routine rituals are followed for traditional slogans and lighting the Kuthuvizhaku as well as the auspicious pooja. The programme was inaugurated with lighting the kuthuvilakku by Respected Chief Director, Respected Dean(E&T), Respected Associate Director, Dean (Campus Life). Our Hanourable Chairman Sirs mother attended the Pooja celebrations. HOIs from other institutions, VP(Academic), VP(Admin), HODs, Faculties and Students were present.
Sweet Pongal, Vadai, Tamarind rice, Pulihora, Sundal, Rava Kesari and Payasam offered as prasadam to all the Dignitaries, HODs, Faculties and Students. Respected Dean E&T presided over the Navaratri Celebrations. The most Anticipated part in the celebration was Campus Life student’s performance. They performed Devotional Songs, Speech on Navaratri, Bharatanatyam and Violin which gave a traditional impact among the audience and lightened the program. Overall, the entire session turned out to be an enjoyable and wonderful moment for audience. Vote of Thanks given by Respected Dean(E&T).
