Dr. Girish Chandra started the session with how to frame a goal of decision making along with various criterion and alternatives using common methods like SAW, TOPSIS, AHP etc.
He elaborated about some studies with method and criterion chosen, also the advantages and disadvantages of methods.
He also explained the computation part, score matrix, weighted normalised score, positive negative ideal solutions, and separation measures to the method ‘Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS).’
Dr. Girish Chandra concluded the session with detailed explanation of case studies Evaluation of Performance of the ICFRE Institutes and Selection of Potential Isolates of Alternaria Alternata of Poplar trees.
Nearly 100 participants attended the lecture and actively took part in the interactive session.
