The Faculty of Engineering and Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram celebrated “National Science Day” on 24.02.2023 at 2 PM.

Program started with invocation and lighting of Kuthuvilakku. HoD/Physics welcomed the gathering and HoD/ Mathematics introduced the chief guest to the audience.
Dean (E& T) in his presidential address mentioned that Science is one of the most important channels of knowledge. It has a specific role, yet has various functions, for our society’s benefit.
Chief guest Prof. Swaminathan briefed the importance of Science day. He mentioned that. Science day is to celebrate one clear objective – to spread awareness of the importance of science and applications of scientific principles in everyday life. He explained the significance of science day themes over the years and contributions of Science for the betterment of the human kind. He also mentioned few accidental discoveries of Science.
Various competitions were conducted for students as part of Science day celebration and prizes were distributed on this occasion.
HoD / Chemistry proposed the vote of thanks. Nearly 350 students participated in the program.
