Safer Internet Day is special celebration takes place in February of each year to raise awareness of a safer and better internet for all, and especially for Childrens, Students and Young Adults .
Under the Leadership of Respected Dean(E&T), National Safer Internet Day 2024 events conducted in Block V,Gallery Hall-III on 06.02.2024 between 1.30- 3.50pm The onstage Technical and Nontechnical events like Elocution, Painting, Singing, Music, Dance, Act performance/Skit by students on the themes of “Awareness about Internet Security, Excess online gaming, Cyber Theft and Digital Unity” have been started with warm welcome address by the Overall Campus Life Coordinator and Convenor of the event Dr.M.Saravanan, Associate Professor, Department of Physics.
Safer Internet Day created both a safer and a better internet, where students are empowered to use digital technology responsibly, respectfully, critically and creatively.
On the other hand, excessive online gaming can become a threat to the students wellbeing and health. The innovative events on the respective theme have provided resources and materials to inform students, as well as their careers, of how to manage their online gaming experiences so that it becomes a fun and safe activity.The contribution by the students towards the programme was immense. All the participants were encouraged by students audience. Event coordinators Dr.Monicka,AP/Biotech and Dr.Chelliah,AP/Mech collected the feedback from the students.
