Summary of the Event:
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Ramapuram Campus, successfully conducted the national-level technical symposium, VERSIO 2024, on August 21, 2024. This event featured a wide range of both technical and non-technical activities, providing a comprehensive platform for students to showcase and enhance their skills. VERSIO’24 offered numerous opportunities for participants to engage in various events, from technical paper presentations and project exhibitions to creative non-technical competitions. This symposium aimed to foster innovation and critical thinking, allowing students to sharpen their acumen and gain valuable experience in their respective fields. Dr. S. Saravanan, Dr. W. Margaret Amutha and Dr. M. Karthikeyan were organized this national level technical symposium.
The inauguration of the event took place at Gallery Hall 1, Block 5. Dr. M. Sakthi Ganesh, Dean (E&T) at SRM IST, Ramapuram, presided over the event. Mr. Ashwin Badri, Founder and Chief Technology Officer, and Mr. Niranjan, Co-founder and Director from Blaer Motors, Chennai, were the chief guests and delivered the keynote addresses during the event.
Dr. K. N. Srinivas, HOD/EEE, welcomed the gathering. The event coordinator, Dr. S. Saravanan, elaborated on the significance and focus of VERSIO 24. During the inauguration, a souvenir was released by the Dean (E&T) and the chief guests. The top students of the department were honored with certificates and mementos. The Dean (E&T) delivered the presidential address. Event coordinator, Dr. W. Margaret Amutha, introduced the chief guests to the audience. The chief guests addressed the gathering, focusing on their entrepreneurial journeys. On the same day, the new energy club of the EEE department, EURECA (Electrical Unit for Renewable Energy and Circuits Automation), was inaugurated. Dr. K. Srinivasan described the vision and mission of the club.
Following the inauguration, both technical and non-technical events were conducted at various venues. A workshop was held in Gallery Hall 3, Block 5.

The valedictory ceremony of the event was conducted in the presence of Dr. Balika J. Chelliah, Vice Principal (Admin). The winners from all the events were honored with certificates and medals. The participants shared their valuable feedbacks about the VERSIO 24. The event coordinator, Dr. M. Karthikeyan, expressed gratitude to the management, Deans, HOD/EEE, event coordinators, student volunteers, and participants for their support.
