Event Name: National Level Dirt Bike Design Challenge

Venue: Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Description
Third-year Mechanical Engineering students of our institution actively participated in the National Level Dirt Bike Design Challenge, organized by Karpagam College of Engineering, Coimbatore, on 19.09.2025. A total of 47 teams from various states across India took part in this prestigious national-level competition.
Our college was represented by Team Off Road Renegades, consisting of six third-year Mechanical Engineering students:

4. Akash T.S (RA2311002020022)
5. Purusotam (RA2311002020041)
6. Sujith P (RA2311002020065)
The team successfully designed and fabricated a Mini Dirt Bike under the guidance of Dr. M. Veeramanikandan, Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering Department.
The dirt bike cleared the technical inspection round and also completed the acceleration test successfully. In the Drag Race event, the student rider Mr. Sujith P. delivered a strong performance and competed effectively against other teams.
Outcome
Although the team did not secure a prize, they gave tough competition and gained valuable hands-on experience in vehicle design, fabrication, and performance testing. The event enhanced their confidence, technical skills, and motivated them to work on further design improvements in future competitions.
